Converse is celebrating their 100th anniversary with a coolio limited edition shoe box set, though the celebration ended last year, but it is never too late to release these shoes. They will put out 1,000 of these specially made packs that look like a set of books, but within the pages lies a pair of original Chuck Taylors. So think extremely LIMITED EDITION!
This new release from the One Star is anything but simple: an elaborate mockup of a century’s worth of volumes that placed together reveal a multicoloured Converse logo along the bottom of the spines. Upon further inspection, the “books” are actually rectangular slabs of cardboard with a circle cut into the middle, facilitating the placement of a pair of off-white Chuck Taylor All Stars. I must say that it is an interesting way of celebrating their turn of a centennial.
