I overheard a conversation recently between this two ladies – one was saying that the food she had this particular restaurant (xxx) which was (supposedly) good but expensive and her other friend gave a suggestion which was similar and at a fraction of the price but it was located in a neighborhood area. The immediate reaction from Lady A was, ‘Eee, neighbourhood, how can be compared with my (xxx) place?” Which left me puzzled, what’s wrong with a neighbourhood place if it serves AWESOME food?

This was ‘consumed’ quite some time back but I just had to share. It’s actually by Ichiban Sushi located at Bukit Panjang Plaza. For less than $20 (if I didn’t remember wrongly) on each bento set, the food you get is amazingly tasty, portion’s just right and the service was good too. Sometimes we get this thinking like ‘what good can a neighborhood japanese restaurant provide?’ Then think and look again – for a fraction of the price you pay as compared to town areas and minimal travelling.
