Wanted to take a break from all that Korean postings as I’m stuck with what I should write. So here goes a food post that has been sitting in my draft for a long time. I am always gamed up for food adventures – be it locally or overseas. But in any case, I’m posting this because I’m 101% missing the awesome food in Penang and of course my cousins & their families. Hopefully, I can head back real soon for a short break!!
Char Kwey Theow – the white stuff at the top is authentic crab meat that added a tinge of sweetness in it. Really!

Though not as good as the first Char Kwey Theow, this wasn’t that bad either but I think Mom was being picky.

The awesomest pancake ever! That had this milky taste if you had it plain or if you wanted a choice of coconut fillings! Both equally GOOD!

No trip to Malaysia is complete without A&W (if it’s possible) – all thanks to Sillypore not even having 1 outlet! *booohoo* I miss having my WAFFLES daily!

I still think that A&W is the ONLY place that does the curly fries the right way! As I type this, I’m already drooling!

THIS Tau huay or known as Tau Fa in cantonese, I cannot stop raving how good it is! Other than the fact that it’s smooth, it’s the syrup that makes it even better! Unlike in Singapore, we use normal sugar syrup but in Malaysia they use Gula Melaka (palm sugar) which makes the consistency + overall taste AWESOME! It was so good that we had to take-away 2 packets each!

Chee Chong Fan – another of a dish that I can eat daily without getting bored of it! Another dish that has a bit of a difference between Singapore & Malaysia is the choice of sauce. An unusual sauce made up of Har Gao which mostly used only in Malaysia while Singapore uses the sweet sauce.
