ATTENTION to all in Singapore – The very nice people at Golden Village is bringing in this movie from the 21st July 201118 AUGUST 2011 (seems like there’s been a change in releasing this movie, I guess we can only wait and hope for good news) onwards. So keep your eyes peeled and don’t forget to support this awesome movie by watching in in the cinemas. With a follow up of the movie (just in case you have no idea what’s the movie is all about), Hello Stranger’s OST. Here’s two songs that appeared during the film itself, one which Noona (the main female lead) has sung and the other is by this group call 25 Hours.
If you have not watched the movie, I would 101% recommend you to catch it. It’s still not too late to watch it in Singapore cinemas!! GO NOW! The good news is, the DVD set is out in Thailand too, so you can try to get all resources to get a copy for you, totally worth paying!!
1. Noona - รักไม่ต้องการเวลา (Rak Mai Dtong Gaan Way-Laa)
But the original version of this song was actually sung by this band called Klear whose female vocalist has this very distinctive voice that never fails to make me stop what I’m doing and just listen to her. Klear’s a rock band, so in terms of their version, it’s definitely heavier than Noona’s. If you ask me, I’d say Klear’s rock while Noona’s sweet, depending on your preferences – both sung it awesomely!! Not only do their voices play a part but the arrangement of the song is quite different.

2. 25 Hours - ยินดีที่ไม่รู้จัก (Yin Dee Tee Mai Roo Jak)
Would you fall in love with a complete stranger? Someone who’s name you might not even know? Monday Flying shares more on Hello Stranger, a film from Thailand.
As bizarre as it sounds, Hello Stranger, a recently released Thai movie is making the rounds in the Asian film circuit. The romantic comedy, also known as Kuan Meun Ho explores the process of two destined strangers falling in love.
Inspired by Korean culture and entertainment that has taken the Asian market by storm, Hello Stranger weaves this love story of two vastly different characters and how they are drawn to each other.
Chantawich “Ter” Tanasewi is a football fanatic, videogame nerd, social butterfly, comic lover, tired of love stories and a cynic of love while “Noona” Nuengtida Sopon is Korean soap opera fan, beef lover, devout radio station listener, avid book reader, and homebody.
During the 9 days of Songkran festival in Thailand, they decided to visit Korea during their own trips for various reasons. As they started out the trip being single, but ended up returning together, be prepared for a hearty laugh right through the movie and a good scenic view of Korea.
Directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun (the director of Shutter), this is his very first time directing a comedy. ‘Hello Stranger’ is inspired by A Day editor Zcongklod Bangyikhan’s hit novel Song Ngao Nai Korea (Two Shadows in Korea). Nuengtida Sopon, who makes her debut in this film, was selected for this role after winning a competition.
I have been getting a lot of searches under this category, of Thai Music, Thai Movies and more importantly, this movie, Dear Galileo.
I have managed to find some links to watch them online (check out Lizchon’s youtube channel). Hope it works and enjoy the movie. I know how hard it is to find Thai films outside Thailand itself, but I make it a purpose to buy them whenever I can and I hope you can do the same too.
