Superrzaaap Galaxy Tour – Singapore

If electronic, new rave, disco sounds familiar to you, then prepare for an awesome night coming ahead this tomorrow.

The last time a few Thai DJs came to Singapore was for Baybeats 2009 and Mosaic 2010 with the guys from Kitsch Cat – Stargazer, Cyndi Seui & etc. It was an awesome gig/spinning but I think the venue (think indoor space) was a bit awkward for (SHY) people to get on their feet and dance – not that it’s impossible, but Singaporeans like me, still finds in uncomfortable to dance to a crowd who’s sitting down and staring at you.
But this time, the awesome SUPERRZAAAP! is bringing in other DJs and at their first stop of the Galaxy tour, is none other than Singapore, how lucky can we get right? On the deck would be STARGAZER, SUPERSONIC all the way from Thailand and with our very own local pride, INQUISITIVE. Accompanying the DJs would be SPACENOID on visuals  - which I am looking forward too! As we all know, visual x sound goes hand in hand – a compliment of one another.

So SEE YOU THERE!!

SuperrZaaap Galaxy Tour

Everyone say YIPPY!! This time it is at a proper venue which I have NO IDEA yet. But at least I can say, it’ll definitely be at a club! At least, a place where one can dance all night and don’t feel awkward.

Haha! Details coming right up (as soon as I get news about it)!

Do follow them on twitter, what better way to receive news updates right?

Cyndi Seui x Stargazer @ Baybeats 2009

Videos taken during their 2nd set at Baybeats 2009 – Chill Out Stage

It was the start of Baybeats 2009 and I had already marked Cyndi Seui x Stargazer’s set as my MUST GO and I am glad that I did. I totally enjoyed myself and I think my friend, Amy did so too!

Awwwwwesome! I had a great time blooping my head, swaying my shoulders and snapping (I wanted to put flicking, but a friend said it sounded weird! So!) my fingers at tunes by them. I came across their stuff from this site, SuperrZaaap (which has a store at Siam Square) and that’s it, I was hooked unto stuff by this label, Kitsch Cat (or you could drop by their myspace instead, which YOU MUST!).

It’s their electro pop hits that attracted me and it’s those kind where you’ll unknowingly bloop your head with the beat and I liked how the duo, Cyndi Seui and Stargazer compliment one another with their tracks. I liked how they also did the arrangement of their songs in comparison to the original tracks. While Cyndi Seui was using this pipe thing that created a unique sound, which I can’t quite explain, but do listen out to it in the videos. I was very amazed by it.

For me, I felt that maybe the venue wasn’t the best place to dance to their tracks, so you end up having a minority of people (Singaporeans are quite SHY) truly enjoying their set at Baybeats. For the shy me, I plunked myself right at the front and happily sway my head to their music.

We met a fellow fan too, Jon who is from Hong Kong. It’s cool to see that I am not alone, haha! And Jon if you ever read this, it was nice meeting you.

So I would definitely hope that they would come back to Singapore again! And this time I wish they could bring all their members (especially YURI) down to Singapore for a night of in my terms, electro/dance/music mayhem! 555+

baybeats 09 – day 1 (after glow)

Got back from Baybeats 2009 and I declare that I had an awesome time spent! I wasn’t in any hardcore mode, so started the night off with the chillout area, listening to For This Cycle (they tweet here). I’m impressed with how they sound live, though the venue was quite airy, I thought dang, these boys have the voice! Okay, it’s official, I’m a teeny fan of them now! Haha!

On another note, I was literally STARSTRUCK by Cyndi Seui x Stargazer! They did an awesome set! Chan chob mak mak ka! And ‘My name is Dos’ was played too, *sing along*! Fancy listening it live is really different from what you hear through your small speakers. I certainly hope that they do come back and have a full good set played in Singapore and this time, please bring along Yuri’s Norminee + the whole of Kitsch Cat. Which I am also lovin’ much! I’d love to blog more, but my body + mind is literally shutting down! So I’d leave you’ll with 2 very ‘pop my cherry heart’ photos! Haha! Okay, maybe it was just my heart!

I have got a long day tomorrow, starting with a ‘date’ with my (newly found) dentist, then Coco Chanel, birthday dinner celebrations for IVY and then back to Baybeats for 2nd night of good stuff!

Good night people!
I’d leave you peeps with images that brings a smile on my face!
